Cookie Policy Política de Cookies y Tecnologías Similares
🇺🇸 English version 🇨🇴 Versión en español
Official website: www.jsadsai.com · Last updated / Última actualización: Octubre de 2026
1. What this policy covers
jsadsAI | José Santamaría ("jsadsAI," "we," "us") operates www.jsadsai.com as a boutique AI architecture and business-consulting firm based in Medellín, Colombia. This is not a generic template: it describes exactly what cookies and local-storage technologies the site uses today, what it does not use, and how U.S. visitors and clients — particularly in states with large Latino communities — can exercise meaningful control over tracking, even though jsadsAI is a Colombian entity governed primarily by Colombian law.
2. Essential cookies we actually use
The site sets one server-side session cookie (PHPSESSID), used exclusively for necessary security and functional purposes:
- Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) protection: when you submit the contact form or another form on the site, this cookie helps confirm the submission genuinely came from your browser and not a malicious third party.
- Administrative session: the internal admin panel (
/admin), used only by the jsadsAI team, relies on a separate session cookie to stay logged in. It has no effect on public visitors.
These cookies are strictly necessary for the site to function securely. They are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking, do not require prior opt-in consent under applicable law, and expire when the session or browser closes.
3. Browser local storage (not cookies, disclosed here for transparency)
Beyond the session cookie above, the site stores a small number of values in your own browser using localStorage — a different technology from cookies. Unlike cookies, these values are never attached automatically to every request; the site reads them and, in the cases marked below, sends them to our own server as part of an analytics event.
3.1 First-party analytics identifiers
To understand how the site is used — which pages are read, which calls to action work, which language converts — we run our own measurement instead of a third-party analytics product. It relies on two random identifiers generated by your browser:
jsv— visitor identifier. Storage:localStorage. Purpose: to tell a returning visit from a new one. Lifetime: 12 months maximum; once it expires, a new random identifier is generated and the previous one is not carried over. Transmitted to our server with each analytics event.jss— session identifier. Storage:localStorage. Purpose: to group the pages of a single visit. Lifetime: renewed after 30 minutes of inactivity. Transmitted to our server with each analytics event.jsu— campaign parameters. Storage:localStorage. Purpose: to remember which campaign a visit came from while you browse — theutm_*values present in the URL you arrived with and, if you came from a Google advertisement, that ad click's own identifier (gclid, gbraidorwbraid). We store that identifier on its own, never the full URL or its query string, and only when it is actually present. Lifetime: kept until a new campaign replaces it or you clear site data. Transmitted with analytics events.jsc— your consent choice. Storage:localStorage. Purpose: to remember what you decided in the consent banner, so we do not ask again on every page. It stores the version of this policy and of the banner, the date of your decision, the categories you accepted or rejected (analytics, advertising, personalisation), the resulting Google Consent Mode signals, and whether your browser was sending a Global Privacy Control signal. It records your choice only, never who you are, and it is not transmitted to our server. It is written only when you decide; if we change this policy or the banner, it stops being valid and we ask again. Lifetime: until you withdraw consent or clear your browser storage.jsqa— internal testing flag. Storage:localStorage. Set only when our own team appends a specific testing parameter to a URL; it marks the resulting events so they are excluded from our metrics. Ordinary visits never set it.
These identifiers are random and first-party: they are generated in your browser, they only exist for www.jsadsai.com, and they are not shared with, nor readable by, any other website. Technical facts about what they are and are not:
- They do not contain your name, email address or phone number, and they are not derived from them.
- They are not derived from your IP address or your user agent, and they cannot be reversed back to you.
- We do not store your IP address in our analytics records — not in plain text and not hashed — nor your full user agent, nor the query string of the URL, nor the content of any form field. Of the referring page we keep only the domain; of your device, only the broad category (mobile, tablet, desktop).
- We do not use fingerprinting — we do not build an identifier from your device, fonts, screen, canvas or any similar signal — and we do not track you across other websites.
3.2 Storage used by interactive features
These values support features you choose to use. They stay in your browser, and the ones that identify a conversation are sent only to the service that runs that feature, when you use it:
- Chat assistant: stores a session identifier and recent conversation history so it survives a page reload. The session identifier accompanies the messages you send to the assistant.
- Diagnostic tool / Solution Finder: stores your progress, and an identifier for the assessment, while you complete it.
- Advanced contact form: stores a simple flag so certain help hints are not shown repeatedly.
You can clear all of this information at any time from your browser's privacy settings ("clear site data"). Clearing it removes the identifiers; the site will generate new random ones on your next visit.
4. Consent banner, categories and the Google tools we use
On your first visit, jsadsAI | José Santamaría shows a consent banner with three choices of equal weight: Accept all, Reject optional, and Set preferences (choose by category). Nothing optional runs until you decide. Your decision is stored in your own browser (jsc, section 3.1) and can be changed or withdrawn at any time from the permanent “Privacy preferences” link in the footer of every page, without an account or password. Withdrawing returns the site to its default state and the banner asks again.
The categories are:
- Necessary (always on): the session cookie of section 2 and the storage the site needs to work securely. They cannot be switched off.
- Analytics (optional, off by default): Google Analytics 4. It measures how the site is used — pages, actions, language. Only if you accept this category may Google set its analytics cookies (
_gaand_ga_…). - Advertising (optional, off by default): Google Ads conversion measurement and remarketing — whether a visit came from an ad and whether it led to a contact. Only if you accept this category may Google set its advertising cookie (
_gcl_au). Accepting Analytics does not accept Advertising: each category governs only its own signals. - Personalisation (optional, off by default): personalised advertising and content by Google.
Technically, your choice is passed to Google through Google Consent Mode v2: Analytics maps to analytics_storage; Advertising to ad_storage and ad_user_data; Personalisation to ad_personalization and personalization_storage. The default state, declared before any Google script runs on every page, denies all of them. Google's scripts (googletagmanager.com, which serve Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Google Tag Manager container) are loaded on every page, but while a category is denied they do not set the cookies of that category; Google may receive non-identifying, cookieless pings in that state, as documented by Google for Consent Mode. We do not use Meta Pixel or any other advertising or analytics tag. Our own first-party measurement (section 3.1) uses no cookies and does not depend on these categories.
We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioural advertising. Details on the data Google processes are in Google's own policies; how we use the resulting information is described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Third-party resources the site may load
Some pages load resources hosted by third parties to function correctly. These providers may set their own technical cookies under their own policies, outside jsadsAI's direct control:
- Google Fonts: site typefaces (Inter, Montserrat, Poppins), served from Google's servers.
- Google Tag scripts (googletagmanager.com): the scripts behind Google Analytics 4, Google Ads and the Google Tag Manager container, governed by the consent categories of section 4.
- jsDelivr (CDN): the international phone-number selector library used in forms.
- Wompi: starting an online payment redirects you to Wompi's secure checkout (checkout.wompi.co), a separate domain operated by Wompi S.A., subject to its own cookie and privacy policy.
6. Global Privacy Control (GPC) and opt-out signals
jsadsAI honors the Global Privacy Control as a valid, browser-based opt-out preference signal. If your browser sends it, the preferences panel opens with the Advertising and Personalisation categories unticked and tells you so; the decision remains yours. Nothing in this site relies on you submitting a separate form to opt out: rejecting or withdrawing consent from the banner or from “Privacy preferences” takes effect immediately in your browser.
7. California — CCPA/CPRA framework (used here as our reference standard)
We use the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), as the reference standard for this policy, even beyond what strict applicability may require of a business our size.
7.1 Sale or sharing of information
jsadsAI does not sell or share cookie or local-storage data with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising, and has not done so in the preceding 12 months.
7.2 Your rights
Regardless of whether the CCPA/CPRA formally applies to us, we extend the following rights to any visitor who requests them:
- Right to Know / Access — what cookie- and storage-related data exists about you and how it is used.
- Right to Correct inaccurate information we hold.
- Right to Delete data collected via cookies or local storage.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing — not applicable today (we do not sell or share), but honored via GPC if this ever changes.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information — we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information through cookies.
- Right to Data Portability for any data we hold that originated from cookies or local storage.
- Right to Non-Discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
- Right to Appeal a denied request, by replying to our decision at the email below.
7.3 How to exercise these rights
Write to newsletter@jsadsai.com. We respond within 45 days of a verifiable request, extendable by an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary, with notice of the extension. We may ask for reasonable information to verify your identity before acting on a request. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may still require proof of the agent's authority and, in some cases, direct verification with you.
7.4 Retention
Session cookie data lasts only for the duration of your browsing session. Local-storage data persists on your device until you clear it or it is overwritten by normal use of the relevant feature; we do not centrally retain cookie-derived logs beyond what is necessary for security and abuse prevention.
7.5 Applicability note, in good faith
jsadsAI is a small consultancy that likely does not meet the CCPA/CPRA's statutory thresholds (annual gross revenue above $25 million USD, personal information of 100,000+ consumers or households, or 50%+ of revenue from selling personal information). We extend these rights voluntarily, as a matter of policy, to any visitor or client who asks — regardless of the state or country they write from.
8. Other priority states — a brief, honest overview
The following notes summarize, without claiming state-by-state legal precision, how we approach the other states with large Latino populations that we prioritize for transparency. State privacy law changes frequently; treat this section as a good-faith summary, not legal advice.
- Texas — Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA): similar rights (access, correction, deletion, portability, opt-out), with a small-business exception referencing SBA size standards.
- Colorado — Colorado Privacy Act (CPA): similar rights, and formal recognition of universal opt-out signals such as GPC.
- New Jersey — New Jersey Data Privacy Act (NJDPA): rights broadly comparable to Colorado's and Virginia's frameworks.
- Florida — Florida Digital Bill of Rights (FDBR): aimed mainly at very large technology platforms; jsadsAI does not meet its thresholds, but we honor the same transparency principles regardless.
- Illinois — we do not collect biometric data through this site; if we ever did from Illinois residents, we would apply the consent requirements of the Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA).
- New York — no comprehensive consumer privacy statute equivalent to the CCPA as of this update, but we apply data-security practices consistent with New York's SHIELD Act.
- Arizona — no comprehensive consumer privacy statute as of this update; we apply the same default transparency principles described above.
State privacy law is an evolving area, and this overview is provided in good faith rather than as a jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction legal opinion. Anyone may write to newsletter@jsadsai.com to exercise the rights described in this policy, regardless of their state of residence.
9. Other relevant U.S. federal frameworks
- FTC Act — we follow truthful, non-deceptive advertising and marketing practices.
- CAN-SPAM Act — marketing emails include a clear opt-out mechanism and an identifiable sender.
- TCPA — we obtain appropriate consent before marketing communications by SMS, WhatsApp, or phone.
- COPPA — this site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
10. International data transfers
Data associated with cookies or local storage may be processed in Colombia and by cloud/AI infrastructure providers with servers in the United States or other countries (for example, OpenAI, Google, and other cloud hosts), under confidentiality commitments and reasonable contractual security safeguards with those providers. Given the low-volume, B2B nature of this data flow, no Privacy Shield-style certification mechanism is used or required.
11. How to control or delete cookies
The quickest way is the “Privacy preferences” link in the footer, which lets you change categories or withdraw all consent at once. You can also configure your browser to block or delete cookies at any time from its privacy settings. Blocking the essential session cookie may prevent forms on the site from submitting correctly.
12. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy whenever the site's actual behavior around cookies or local storage changes — for example, if we activate analytics tools. jsadsAI reserves the right to revise this document to reflect legal or technical developments.
This English section is provided for the transparency and benefit of U.S. visitors and clients; jsadsAI's business is governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia and complements our Privacy Policy. Questions: newsletter@jsadsai.com.
